Multimedia spectacle in tribute to Poles saving Jews in WWII.
In the village of Markowa, a modern museum was established to commemorate the Poles who risked their lives to save Jews during the war. It is the first museum in Poland devoted to those who rescued Jews in the occupied Poland during the Shoah. The main exhibition presents the known and documented cases of help given to Jews in the present-day Podkarpackie province.
THE CHALLENGE
Our task was to organize & produce the opening ceremony that initiated the museum's activities. The project's most significant challenge lies in crafting animations using archival materials from the museum, as well as developing supplementary video content that matches the tone of the ceremony and seamlessly complements the facade projection mapping on the museum's exterior.
RESULTS
Our team has captured numerous shots within the skansen, preserving the essence of the Ulm family's living spaces. Moreover, we have compiled over an hour's worth of raw slow-motion footage, thoughtfully capturing the artifacts discovered within the confines of the Ulm house. To create a seamless and captivating narrative, we integrated archival photographs, recordings of the surroundings and slow-motion sequences with lyrics of Hebrew psalms.
We crafted a compelling compilation of over 2 hours of footage, intricately woven together with the event's script, which was projected onto 350 sqm museum fasade for an audience of nearly 500 guests. The Polish versions of the Psalms were exquisitely performed on-site by Stanisław Soyka & Cracow Singers.
